We are Partners in Compassion, a partnership of religious, private, and public institutions and individuals cooperatively meeting the needs of the community of Mount Olive.

Originally, Mount Olive Pantry started out as a small office in the Township’s municipal building. In 2013, Mayor Rob Greenbaum wanted to expand the pantry’s services and asked Pastor Matthew Jones and Reverend Sonia Waters if they could help to expand the pantry and its services for the people of Mount Olive. Both pastors visited a number of pantries to observe operational format, and in 2014, Mount Olive Pantry was privatized under the direction of Partners in Compassion, a charitable 501 C3 organization.

The physical pantry was relocated in late spring to its present location at 369 Sandshore Rd, Budd Lake, NJ, In the lower level of Christ Episcopal Church. The office for the Mount Olive Pantry, a subsidiary of Partners in Compassion is located 6 Naughright Rd, Hackettstown, in Mountaintop Church.

Susan Morse began as the pantry administrator in early 2014. She oversees pantry operations and makes sure the pantry is adequately stocked with food for those in need. The pantry is staffed by volunteers from area churches and local residents who have a heart to help those in need. The pantry is currently open twice a week plus an additional two nights each month.

The pantry accepts donations of non-perishable donations at any time; they may be left in the drop box at the pantry’s entrance. For any perishable donations, please contact the pantry through the pantry’s phone number.
